Community Policy
Last updated: April 2026 · Wordstasy Collaborative Writing Platform
Wordstasy is a creative writing community built on trust, respect, and storytelling. By participating in any writing group, you agree to uphold these community standards.
1. Respectful Collaboration
All members are expected to treat fellow writers with dignity and respect, regardless of their skill level, background, language, or genre preference.
Constructive feedback is welcome; personal attacks, harassment, or bullying of any kind are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate removal from the group.
Celebrate each other's contributions. Every writer brings a unique voice — diversity of style makes stories richer.
2. Original Content Standards
All story submissions must be original work written by the submitting author. Plagiarism — copying text from published works, other users, or AI-generated content passed off as original — is strictly forbidden.
Submissions must be relevant to the group's genre and the ongoing story arc. Off-topic or spam submissions will be subject to rejection by the group admin.
Mature or explicit content is only permitted in groups explicitly designated for adult audiences. Writers must clearly label sensitive content.
3. Group Membership & Conduct
Group membership is subject to admin approval. Admins have the right to accept or decline join requests at their discretion without requiring justification.
Members who violate these community policies may be removed by the group admin at any time. Removal reasons may include but are not limited to: harassment, plagiarism, spam, or repeated disregard for group guidelines.
The platform owner (Wordstasy) reserves the right to delete any group that violates platform-wide policies, contains illegal content, or has been inactive and abandoned.
Members removed from a group lose access to the group's story, chat, and contribution history within that group.
4. Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited across all writing groups on Wordstasy:
- Content that promotes or glorifies violence, terrorism, or hate crimes
- Hate speech targeting race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability
- Sexual content involving minors (zero tolerance — immediate permanent ban)
- Doxxing or sharing personal information of other users
- Spam, scams, or commercial solicitation unrelated to writing
- Impersonation of other writers or public figures
Violations of prohibited content rules will result in immediate removal and may be reported to relevant authorities where required by law.
5. Revenue & Earnings Policy
When a completed story is published as a book and its rights are sold through the Marketplace, earnings are distributed as follows:
- 10% of the total sale price is retained by Wordstasy as a platform operating fee.
- 90% is distributed among the story's contributors.
- Each contributor's share is determined by the proportion of likes their accepted chapters received from fellow group members, relative to the total likes across all accepted chapters.
- Likes from your own submissions do not count — you cannot like your own content.
The like-based revenue model ensures that quality and peer appreciation directly determine each writer's earnings, incentivizing excellent storytelling.
Earnings are paid out via Stripe Connect to verified payout accounts. Contributors must set up a payout account in the Membership section to receive funds.
6. Intellectual Property
Each contributor retains intellectual property rights over their individual submissions. By submitting content to a group story, you grant Wordstasy and your fellow contributors a non-exclusive license to include your work in the collaborative story and any published book derived from it.
Upon sale of publishing rights through the Marketplace, the buyer receives rights to publish and distribute the compiled work commercially. Individual contributors' underlying authorship is retained.
Wordstasy does not claim ownership of any user-created content.
